Asterisk powered dispatch console

Postby panamareg » Tue Oct 04, 2011 8:26 am

Is anyone working on using Asterisk in the development of a radio/cell/landline communications dispatch console system?

If not, there seems to be a great opportunity here...

I feel Asterisk could be the perfect engine that drives a fleet/emergency services/public safety or any of the other type central dispatch center solution.
If there is any interest in this, please contact me. I have many ideas about this as well as applications.

It's an interesting concept. I had done some preliminary coding on a channel driver to interface Asterisk with the Telex-Vega IP-223 & IP-2002 series of IP to radio interface boxes for a similar concept. I didn't get far, though, before I left the company I was working for.

Hello,

I'm really interesting on this issue. Is someone working on that? Thank you in advance.

I'm not actively working on it any more, but work could resume if there is interest.
