Initiate call transfer from API

Postby mitchell » Wed Feb 17, 2010 4:42 am

Hi all

We're looking at creating a panel to support some multi-tenant requirements we have. Essentially it should
1) Do a display basic information like company, name etc based on the incoming-DID (different companies are allocated different extensions and the call should be answered appropriately). Easy enough to do with the url manager
2) Once the receptionist has answered the call they should just click a button to transfer the incoming call directly to the extension.

I see in the source for the Current Calls panel there are internal methods for doing the transfer but they don't seem to be exposed in the API (just straight call initiation). Furthermore, the incoming call event method is probably not going to work because the receptionist has to answer first. Does anyone know how to initiate a call transfer via the API?

Thanks

James

Currently you can't transfer calls via the Extend API.

Thanks David -is it something that's likely to make it onto the roadmap?

I'd like to be able to transfer calls using the API.
