I'm using switchvox.call to originate a call to an outside number (dial_first) and and connect it to an inside IVR extension (dial_second). It works, however I would like the outgoing caller ID to show the inbound phone number to the PBX and not the IVR extension. Can anyone offer suggestions on how I could accomplish this?

This is determined by the system and the caller id is checked against your caller id rules. Check that you have set your caller id on your provider. Also, look into setting up a Caller ID Rule for the account you are dialing as (dial_as_account_id). Caller ID Rules can be found under Setup -> Outgoing Calls -> Caller ID Rules Tab

I've tried everything I can think of. The caller ID rules are changing the dial_first in the call logs, not the dial_second which is the IVR extension (obviously I don't want to connect to the IVR first). This just does not work and seemingly cannot be done. Is no one using automated dialing scripts to connect people to their Switchvox with proper caller ID? It seems the only option I'd have is to have the VOIP provider disallow caller ID changing.
