Change Extension Details

Hi All.
Trying to work out how to change the First_name and Last_name associated to an extension.
I have found the "switchvox.extensions.phones.sip.update" method, but if I just pass in the First_name and Last_name It complains about passwords etc.
Do I have to call the method that gets all the info for the extension first, change what I need to, then pass it all back? or is there an easier/better way to do it?

THe API allows you to change first_name or just last_name. The password it is asking you for might be for authentication? Maybe you aren't sending in the proper information for the digest authentication? I would have to see the output.
