I've had one of my employees give me a 'wouldn't it be nice if' sort of request, and I can't blame him. Since I'm now in charge of making those sort of things work properly, I need a bit of help.
I've searched the forums and haven't found anything posted recently with a description of how to fix it, so I'm looking for a hand.
The process works fine for company extensions (as they are only 3 digits) but when an outside line is used (10 digits) the employee cannot return the call by using the phone's (Polycom IP450) arrows to find the desired missed call and just press the dial button. The system appears to be processing the request and cannot find an appropriate action. Do I have to create some sort of digit mod specification or something when it sees a 10 digit number (to append the 9 for outside line and 1 for LD)? Can the incoming number be modified on way in based on the trunk it's coming in on (outside trucks have a 9 appended if 7 digits and a 9,1 if it's 10 digits)? I've never supported a phone switch before, so I'm just guessing here.
Thanks in advance for any help and ideas. I appreciate it.
Todd
