'status' soft key vs. web/switchboard

Postby kd7jz » Thu Aug 02, 2012 12:55 pm

I am running Switchvox 5.5.3.2 and using Polycom 450 phones. The phones have a softkey "MyStat" that I can use to set my status, but the system doesn't really seem to notice or use this status. I have to set my status via the web. How can I make this work?

You are correct... The MyStat button doesn't correlate to the new-ish "Status" codes that Digium uses. I'm not sure if Digium is going to / has plans to integrate the two, now that they have their own phones. I can tell you that the Status button on the Digium phones DOES sync up to the status on the web user panel /switchboard, though.

For all of our installs, we always told our users to ignore the "MyStats" button, as it was mostly useless in the Switchvox world.

That is the conclusion Google led me to. That pretty much SUCKS.

Digium is so close to having an absolute home run with Switchvox, but I keep tripping over crap like this.
