Polycom 670 stuck in boot loop.

I have a 670 that I am having a heck of a time provisioning...


I have reset it with the key combination on boot, dropped it all the way out of configured phones (to unknown phones).

Now is it stuck on xxxxxxx.bootrom.Id

Please wait



Well, I have waited....

Thinking the local files are hoses.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Now it says can not find application...


Moving sooooooooooooooooooooo slow.


More so than the normal boot and processing times. This whole process should have taken a couple minutes, yet it has last over an hour.

you should upgrade the firmware if you didn't .

I have seen boot loop problems when using the polycom phone tokens from switchvox if the phone hasn't properly or completely wiped its config (factory reset) and sometimes you have to do the factory reset, then go into the 'admin menu' under settings and tell it to 'format flash' or something like that. I don't have any 670s so the menus might be a bit different but that might help if you can find it. Basically, do the factory reset, and then while it is at the countdown at the beginning, go into setup and admin/advanced and do the format. Then try it again and move the phone to approved.

I can not get it booted all the way up to get to the menu that allows me to reset.


I have held down the key pattern during boot, but I do not think this wipes it all the way.

there is an update to switchvox that updates the version of the polycom UC software. Try updating, then wipe the phone and start over.
