Have a D50 phone that has been working great for six days. Now it refuses to register with the server.
I think the issue is with the server because we removed the original D50 phone and setup a new D50 and it will not register either.
Fails on connecting to SIP server.
I can log into the phones web console with no problems.
We brought the phone straight into the server room and plugged directly into the switch to minimize any issues with network cabling and still no luck.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Westley

Not sure why the issue cropped up, but it seems we have it resolved.
Set the out of the box phone first to VLAN Manual 1 (we are not running any VLAN's) and was able to connect to server long enough to download new firmware. On reboot the phone would not obtain an IP address.
Reset the VLAN to None and all appears to be working now.
Switches are Cisco 2950's. No Spanning Tree Protocol on them.

This probably doesn't matter to your issue but you should have spanning-tree turned on. (RPVST+ if the switch supports it). There is almost no reason not to use STP.
As for your actual problem, does the D50 allow a 'factory reset' or fimware format that would fully restore factory settings? If so I would do that and make sure your switches have a voice vlan set properly.

We did a factory reset a few times to clean out changes we made that didn't work.
What was strange was that we had about 30 D50's installed and working with no problem. Installed another 10 of them and things started going hay wire on just a few phones, even ones that were working before hand.
Manually setting the VLAN seems to be the only thing that worked.
